Where are classes held?

Our GOSFORD classes are on every Thursday at:

Gosford Leisure and Learning Centre,

217 Albany St N,

Gosford, NSW, 2250

Our SYDNEY classes are held on various days and at various locations.

Click here to go to the Sydney Swing Kats website for more info on Sydney classes.

Do I need to book?

No, you can just turn up on the night and jump straight in. Though we do recommend getting in touch with us to let us know you’re coming, just in case we need to tweak the lesson plan or arrange extra teachers to accommodate you.

When can I start?

If you've NEVER danced before, we have new Absolute Beginner blocks starting every 4 weeks at Gosford (in the first week of every month) and every 6-8 weeks at Sydney locations.

Already know how to dance? Our Beyond Beginner and Intermediate classes run year-round and don't follow specific blocks - just drop on in and give it a go.

What do I wear?

Wear flat shoes and comfortable clothing. Whilst some dancers like to wear specialized dance shoes for ease of movement, you can wear any shoes that are comfortable, not too grippy, and easy to turn and spin in. Some dancers love to get all dressed up, others just wear something comfy. A dance class can be like a workout, so many dancers dress accordingly, but if you want to get all dolled up - you won't be the only one!

Do I need a partner?

Nope! We encourage rotating partners in our classes, both to improve your skills and to meet some friendly new faces you'll see on the social dance floor. Both teachers and experienced students will step in, too, so it's a good opportunity to learn from others.

Do we have to swap partners?

Not if you don't want to. Whilst we recommend rotating partners for a better all-round experience, you are more than welcome to stick with your partner or a helper until you feel comfortable dancing with someone else.
